Dee:
You make some pretty good points about the third party and the reasons you choose to vote that way.
honesty and integrity seem worth while to me
I will agree with you on this.
I'm told by some of these voters from BOTH SIDES, that I am wasting my vote for voting for a candidate that is honest and forth right, as he or she has no chance of winning
They however keep getting their candidates in, and I keep getting the shaft from both sides of the same political coin.
I can see why they tell you your wasting your vote.
It plays out in each election.
I have leaned toward the third party more than once and as you it did no good other than to make me feel better that at least I tried.
I did vote McCain as I said I thought he was the better of the two.
Also to take a vote away from the boy!
To have voted for the third party would not have changed the out come either way and unfortunately my vote didn't change the outcome either.
With all the money & power behind the main 2 parties I really don't see the third party ever getting in, which is a shame as they do have some good people with them along with some good ideas.
I think if we look back we can see that this all really started with BILLY BOY when he opened up the easy credit on new homes to those with little or no credit potential.
At least McCane did try to warn them of this several years ago.
Both sides can take the blame for the problems we are having.
I am a self employed small business owner and to be honest I think most will agree that things were pretty good until 2 years ago.
That is when it started down hill for my business.
Just when the Dems took controll of both sides of the government.
Until that happened I was doing an outstanding business of over a million a year.
Year before last it was down to a little over 250,000.
Last year it was under a 100,000.
All these #s are gross income.
Were the Dems to blame, I don't know, but they sure didn't help the situation any.
Like others have said, we are stuck with the boy for the next 4 years and with the Dems controlling the government for at least the next 2.
That is when we need to make the difference and take back our government.
Then and only then will we have a say again in the way things are done.
