Determining a Handgun's Current Value

Walther PPK 380 ACP

SS Ruger SP101 357 Mag. w/2.25" bbl 

SS Colt Defender Lightweight 45 ACP. 

What is a fair market value for these.

None are NIB.  All are used in excellent condition w/original factory boxes and paperwork.

I am a big fan of Collectors Firearms here in Houston.
They have a lot of stuff.
They have a web site and you can view all they have which may give you an idea.
To me, they are bit pricey so that may be taken into consideration.
Take a look, it is a fun ride.
I was just in there today--window shopping.
They have an engraved, series 80 Colt Gov. in the case that they have had for at least two years, They have the most unusual Stag grips I have ever seen and I want those grips.$2200. Don't want em that bad. good looking weapon though.
They have 5 Colts in 9MM from the 60's.
Some fab High Powers, engraved. I can only drool.
It is a fun look around and their web site is well done--you will enjoy the ride.

Asking how much your gun  (or old vehicle) is worth over the phone or internet is kinda like me asking. "how much corn will I get out of my corn field?"  You haven't seen the corn patch, and I haven't seen the guns, so a fair price estimate is impossible. I remember my days in the car business when everybody that came in the door thought their old piece of iron was worth twice what I was willing to give or allow on trade, that is kinda like most gun owners, they think their guns are worth far more than they actually are.

The best way to get a fair appraisal is to take it to a honest (?) dealer and tell them you would like to get an appraisal for insurance purposes.  After they have given you a value then ask what they think it is actually worth.  It is not a scientific method, but will get a better estimate than over the net.  ::) ::) ::)
