need firing pin for a 7m/m mauser
« on: March 07, 2009, 02:32:38 PM »
i have a 7m/m mauser that the tip of the firing pin has broken . how do i figure out what model this gun is , there are no markings on it . it is either a short rifle or carbine , has a bent bolt handle , still has the original sights and sling . i got the bolt apart and the firing pin out , several gun shows i've went to have yet to yeld a matching firing pin.

what features on it will help identify the model .

thanks

lokk up gun parts corp.  I think all 93,94, 95 mausers use the same firing pin. They can help you there.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

Yep, billy is right.  Go to Gun parts Corp, SAMCO or SARCO.  One will have the firing pin.  They are cheap, so get two.  HTH.

There are 98's in 7mm too?  It could be a '93 or '95 too.  The '93 has a flatbottom bolt while the '95 has a round bolt.  With the '98 the bolt body extends past the safety lever were the 93's & '95's are flush with the rear of the bolt.

The 7mm mauser is one of my favorite rounds next to my 6,5mm swede.
