50 cal percussion TC Hawken starter kit availability
« on: February 23, 2009, 01:56:50 PM »
Where can a person find a starter kit for the 50 cal percussion rifle?  Years ago Cabelas had a nifty little kit but they only sell this with "a purchased rifle" now.  I have all I need but have a friend who is just getting into black powder and needs the entire range of tools.  Including powder flask, powder measure, starters, bullet pullers, nipple wrench w/ flash hole cleaner, ect.  Buying a part here and there gets to be a pretty penny.
Thanks
jP

Bass pro, Gander Mtn., Sportsmens Wharehouse,,,but actually, getting just what you need instead of a "kit" with stuff you don't need can be cheaper and avoid confusion with a beginner.
the "kit's" today are different from years back. In-lines need different stuff than cap locks, and marketing compitition is more specific to model/style/technique.
What's he got? and what do ya need?
Maybe we can help ya out over on the "Pay it Forward" forum ;) ::)

Did not think of Bass Pro.  Cabelas is our nearest retail here and check the other outlets with no luck.  Bass Pro has what is needed!
Thanks
