Which do you like the best ,safety or no safety, straight stock or pistol grip?
I enjoy collecting guns, swaping and staying up on all the newest models. I deer, quail, squirrel and rabbit hunt.

I don't use the safety on the ones that have it, I use the half-cock so it doesn't bother me.  Prefer the looks of the straight stock, but don't notice any difference when shooting either one.  DP

Pistol grip is a make or break deal for me. The safety issue can be taken care of by locking it into the off position.

I like both.  The straight grip is more attractive.

I prefer the pistol grip myself.  When on the range I use the safety but never for hunting.  More than once on the range I've forgotten about the safety and "click."

I like the pre-safety models with the two screw holes for a Williams rear sight already tapped into the left side of the receiver.

I prefer the pistol grip style stocks because they feel more comfortable.  I like having a safety on the rifle, but my generation has never known anything different.  I have a 336W that I bought brand new in 2003.

Which do you like the best ,safety or no safety, straight stock or pistol grip?

No safety. Mines an old one(60s model) so that`s a given.  Pistol grip for sure.

No lawyer  safety , and I  prefer straight stocks. Although I  only have two straight stocked Marlins.

While I might agree that the straight stocks look nicer, I find the pistol grip quite comforting.
Just a little somthing else to help hang on to.
