What 9mm pistols allow .22 conversion kits
« on: March 13, 2009, 09:52:10 AM »
I'm going to get a 9mm and need to know which pistol has conversions available. I know that they are out there for Glock,Tuerus and 1911 but what about the rest? Does the XDm's have a kit available?

Sig and CZ offer uppers.

www.cz-usa.com
I am a big sig fan but the cost of their conversions are almost the cost of a browning buck mark.  i think I would rather have another buck mark, than an upper.
There is usually an ad in the back of the Gun and Ammo mags for www.22lrconversions.com  here is the website.
Good luck.

Thanks guys. So far it looks like to get a 9mm pistol and .22 kit the most economical is either Taurus or Glock. I do really like the CZ but the cost is allot higher.

I think that is going to be a tough one.
most of the high tech 9's are going to be either composite or aluminium alloy.
What is your budget for the whole kit and kabootle
Pistol, leather/ plastic/ nylon, light, 22 upper, magizines (9mm and 22)
And Ammo?

You can also add the Beretta 92FS and the Browning Hi Power pistols to the "list" ... ...

I "thought" about getting a Ceiner .22 Conversion for my Beretta, but then thought that my money would be better spent and invested by just purchasing a .22 lr Ruger Mark III.

I know there are good "reasons" for .22 conversions (like inexpensive practice with a weapon you may need to depend on ...) but, by buying the Mark III- I ended up owning two pistols instead of one ... and also ended up with a "better" .22.

Sig Sauer p226/p229 can be ordered with a .22 conversion or it can be bought seperatly. There are some stainless framed used Sigs floating around.
