Have any of you guy's worked up a good load in this caliber using the 125 gr. Partition?  What is your favorite in this caliber for white tail?  My barrel is 23.6 long.

razmuz: by the sounds of your barrel length you might be shooting a Model 38.  I haven'tloaded the 120-125 grain bullets but for the 140 grain Speer the accuracy load from my old Lyman manual lists 42 grains of IMR 4320 for 2577'/sec, more than enough for any Whitetail, Blacktail or Mule Deer you will find.  The factory duplicationload for that 140 grain bullet is listed with 42.8 grains of IMR 4350 for 2631'/sec, and both loads were tested with the Husquavarna Model 38.  Hope this helps.  Mikey.

Haven't used the Noslers, I have used 49.5 gr H4831SC with the Hornady 129 SP, 2825 fps in my M38.  I have used them on mulies and blacktails, no whitetails but shouldn't be any difference.  Prefer the Hornady 140 SP with 49 gr H4831SC for 2730 fps.
