Purchased a carbine for $530 in .22LR. Local dealer has a .45x209 carbine and a carbine , less barrel in stock also (SE MI). I like mine so far. MI-shooter

Saw a frame only in the counter last time I was in the gunshop. I think the price was $269.

Don't they take a standard contender barrel?

I recently bought a G2 carbine kit (no barrel option). Both of my custom carbine barrels fit the frame and function without a problem. The carbine wood/stock is a better design. The trigger does function strange. After each shot the trigger spring actually pulls the trigger and your finger back into the normally postion when you release. In the process you can feel and hear the action parts reset internally. This may take sometime getting used to. Does anyone know if the encore trigger does this? I do not own one.

Ed had a G2 Carbine at the Sooner show last August, it was marked $500 and was wearing wood furniture and a .17 HMR barrel.  He also had a pistol with wood furniture and some barrel I didn't examine too close.  He didn't have the price marked and I didn't ask.  At the show last weekend, he had the pistol, again not marked for price.

Hey Custom257,
My new Encore's trigger seems to operate the same as you have discribed the G2's. Although my trigger will remain back in the "Fired" Position untill I release it then it resets to the "At Rest" Position as the T/C manual calls it.  Bruce Ivey

No one I have talked to is able to get their hands on a G2 carbine stock, including Thompson Center???  If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know.  I have a G2 pistol and a friend wanted a carbine and could not get it in the carbine package.

Thanks.  I'll have to call them again.  They all show them to be in stock, but when you go to order, they can't seem to find any available.  Thanks.
