Anyone hunting with a 6.8 spc?
« on: February 23, 2009, 02:41:23 AM »
Just picked up a 6.8 barrel.  It's a 23" but I'm having it cut back to about 18".  I'm looking for recommendations for good FACTORY hunting rounds.  This will be used for deer sized game and smaller of course.  I don't reload at this time and probably won't for a couple of years so I have to stick with factory stuff.  Thanks in advance...

I have a 23" Contender in 6.8 Rem SPC. Two antelope and 1 whitetail doe, all bang flop! I would recommend factory ammo from Silver State Armory, I'm using the 110 gr Barnes XXX. Will shoot under 1" consistently. Good round for under 200 yards.
