Opinions will vary... mine is I wouldn't be caught dead with a TC Duo-Mount on any of my barrels. The one piece system is a compromise (noun), and that says it all.
At least the older model Burris 2-7 (#200293) when properly mounted can be trusted on the heavier recoiling TC's in my experience. I have a couple of them that I've had for many, many years that have both done duty on my handcannons without any problems (375JDJ's, 416 Rigby, etc). I don't know about the newer model 2-7's (I sure am not impressed with their new model 4-12 compact when compared to the older version though). By properly mounted, on a heavy recoiler I mean using a quality 3 or 4 ring system with the rings 100% lapped (and depending on which system ideally the base one that incorporates a recoil stop screw).
Just from my experience... YMMV.
