WINCHESTER VA.
We only got a heavy dusting here but they still called off school.
My sister lives down around LAKE ANNA in the south central part of the state and they got about 8".
They live east of the BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS and we live WEST of them.
It either misses us or we get dumped on.

I'm about 60 miles northeast of Winchester near Frederick, Md.  We received about 5-6".  Folks further east recieved up to 11".

This is our first significant snowfall this year.  The local news had been reporting that we have been missed by 13 storms.  Up to this event, we had an official snow fall total of 2" this winter.

Temps near 60 by the weekend, however!

 :)

I can remember when I was small. It was not uncommon to have a freeze or frost on Easter, which is late.
Rest easy boys, there will be days in July when you pine for a cool front.
