Gun Show !

 Hi Guys , Just got home from the gun show . Two things I want to let you know ,One: was about the barrel I found. I bought a 20gauge 3" rifled slug barrel with sights for $25 and it looks like new !! Their were several others around for $50 to $75 in various cal. so deals are still out their!!!  Two: the thing that bothers me is the consensus to horde 7000 to 10000 rnd of ammo thinking we are helping each other out for when they come to take our guns away!!! Right now the general public has access to! No primers ! No power ! No brass ! Verry few Bullets !! with loaded ammo at prices that are bordering on ridiculous !!! I for one don't believe it will come down to having to deal with someone at my door asking for my weapons.
   With out sounding like a liberal witch I am Not ! Are we playing right into their hands? We can only use so much ammo ..... me included, If I have to head to the hills I cant carry 10000 rnds ..  Mark

good find at the show , i went to one in austin this weekend really sucked lots off nice guns but really over priced, but at least someone had some luck nice find

the way things are going buying ammo is a good investment , unfortunately its way better than the stock market . I'm sure most guys on here remember when a 1000 rnd case of 7.62x39 was less than $80 . like 3 years ago i bought a 980 rnd case of south african .308 for $150 ,today  i could sell 280 rds of it for the same $150

   The crowds have been so bad(not misbehaving...just too many of us in one spot) at all the gun shows around here, including the one this weekend, that this old man just refuses to go.  I agree, there are some deals to be had as long as you're not looking for .223, .308, 9mm, or .380 ammo, components or something to shoot said ammo out of.  I think the fear that most of us have is that ammo will become limited or heavily taxed.  I'm guilty of stocking up on primers, brass, powder and bulk lead.  And, I must agree, I don't think there is a better investment for the money now anyway.  Oh my, I think I just talked myself right into buying another gun....gotta go.....GOOD SHOOTIN', Walt
