Contender 45/70 value?

I'm looking at a Contender in 45/70 stainless action and barrel which is 16 -1/4 inches long with muzzle break.  It has a black composite stock and forearm.  The gun shows no ware or missuse.  Would like to know what it should bring in this condition.  Also, if broken down, what would the stainless action be valued at and the stainless barrel?  Thanks in advance, Charles

In excellent condition I would have no problem giving $400 for the outfit. Broken down about $175 for the barrel and $225 for the action. Thats about what they are bringing around the midwest.  KN
