What's your favorite brand of standard large rifle primers?

1. Winchester WLR
2. CCI 200
3. Federal 210
4. Remington 9 1/2

I like the Remingtons the best, but tend to use CCI the most.

All thou I have to add that Federal MATCH, primers have provided me with my most accurate loads.

CCI mostly but I'll use whatever I can get, Adjust loads accordingly.

I use CCI #200 mostly but I do put Winchester WLR in my 30-30 loads. Can't say if they are better than the others as I've never had a problem with them or found a need to switch with the type of shooting I do.

CCI 200's for me too , just because their the most common around here , I do like the Remington 9 1/2 for my 25/06 and 270 , they just seam to give me more consistent results in group size and SD of FPS .

CCI 200s for me too. They are usually a bit less expensive and I've never had a problem with them.

I have used CCI rifle primers more than any other. I don't shoot groups after sighting in, so any load that shoots 1 1/2" or better is good to go. That's a good working level of accuracy for my needs. Just about any standard load will do that or better in my ARs with any primer I happen to have on hand. Due to pricing, the Wolf primers are my new favorite. They work as well for me as any.

Winchester, for my Contender. It's picky about hard primers like CCI. I've never had a failed strike with the Winchester's and they're cheaper here.

85% of my loads have been using Winchester WLR, around 10% use Fed -215M and the rest are generally split between CCI-200 and CCI-BR-2.

Better then 95% of my shooting is with a black powder rifle.
And they all have a different taste as far as primers go.
I get the best ES and SD in the low single digit's with BR-2's and WLR.
But Wolf are doing good also.

Used CCI's for a long time, then tried Federals, liked them both. Got some Remington 9 1/2's and have had a number of FTF's. Don't know the reason, don't care if I got a bad lot, as long as CCI's and Federals are available, I'll never buy Remington's again.

I standardized all my rifle primers to WLR's several years ago. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Winchester large pistol primers for my handguns too.

I have used all of them over the years. But now I use all Fed 210 & Fed 210 match.
Never had any problem with any of them, just like the Federal primers.

Federal. Why? My local dealer stocks them. But, I've used CCI, Win and Rem with total satisfaction. I suspect many people over agonise this question.

WLR. Available everywhere primers are sold around here and I've been using them for 8+ years with no problems. Can't see changing unless I have to.

I cant say i have a favorite. I use all of them. Primers can make a big differnce in accuracy and it pays to try them all with a load to find which primer works best with the load you chose.

Winchester WLR. I use some Federal 210M primers too but if I could only one it would be the WLRs.

CCI 200 hands down for me. I have tried WLR and Fed (I have not tried Rem) in several different loads for several different calibers and CCI consistently gave the tightest groups, the lowest SD, and most of the time the highest average velocity.

I'm a Federal guy but I have often found that "most" of the time primers make so little difference in my loads that I use whatever is available. BUT I never switch brands while I am loading just to be safe.
