Help with holster information
« on: March 08, 2009, 09:30:33 AM »
I need some information to help me find a RH strongside holster for a Ruger original Vaquero with 4 5/8" barrel.   This revolver has the David Clements adjustable sight addition and I tried a couple of Vaquero holsters that a friend of mine has and the taller front sight blade wouldn't allow my gun to go into the holster.   I kind of like the El Paso Saddlery Tom Three Persons holster but I am reluctant to just order one because I am afraid it might not fit.   Have any of you guys had to deal with anything like this?   Thanks in advance for any info and ideas you all can give me on this.

Target front sights tend to be problematic; you have to soak and shape the holster a little bit, but it'll gradually wear in; YYMV, but this is what I do with the ones I build.
