Does anyone realize (or care) that our Government, even in today's sagging economy, continues to provide employment based visas to nonimmigrant H-1B workers and their families, and to permanent resident immigrants who's visas are employment based (E1,E2,E3, E4, just to name a few of the classifications)? US immigration service centers (CIS) has been working overtime adjudicating these petitions and on various other employment authorization cards for the past three years at least. Check it out. Call your congresspeople about it. I can't call mine--My Vermont congressional delegation is one of the most left-wing in the country, and are all amnesty freaks, apparently in favor of the illegal alien farm workers that have appeared within the last year or so. Apparently the rhetoric is that there are not enough skilled workers in the US. That's the lame excuse that politicians and bureaucrats have been making for years. Must be because now all of the skilled American workders have been laid off.
