How much do I ask for my TC?
« on: September 18, 2003, 12:56:45 AM »
I have a TC .50cal Hawken 25th. anniversary rifle.  I need to know the value of this rifle so I don't get ripped when I sell it.  It has all SS hardware and fixtures and silver inlayed engraving on the barrel.  On top of barrel the silver inlay says 1 of 500 and on side of barrel it says Hawken 1970-1995 25th. anniversary.  It is unfired with box and papers.  How much do I ask?

I am in the same boat with my TC Cougars. I have not seen any others for sale to know how much to ask for mine.

Hairtrigger and Deadeye, go to Gunsamerica.  Under custom muzzleloaders they have two T/C Cougars; one for $500, and one for $1,200.  That's quite a spread, but that may be a starting place.  The 25th Anniversary T/C Hawken might be similar in value

Their url is http://www.gunsamerica.com/

You can also check out Auction Arms (http://www.auctionarms.com/).  They have T/C Cougars there occasionally.  Also you can check out Guns And Ammo Auctions ( http://www.gunsandammo.com/).  They frequently have T/C's, both shooters and collectors.
Best always and make smoke,
YMHS Dennis
