Rem 7600 Mount ?
« on: March 25, 2009, 09:05:06 AM »
I have a Rem 7600 7mm-08 coming and looking into mount options.  The scope will  be a Leupold 3x9x40 VXII, and I like to mount it as low as possible for a good cheek weld.

I've used Leupold STD's on 7600's before with mixed results.  Any suggestions ?

Thanks.. Rob

Warne one piece aluminum base and Burris Zee rings. I've had mixed results using Talley one piece light weight rings. I for one do not like windage adjustable rear rings.

Thanks Dave... I was considering the Talley's.   I wish Leupold made dual dovetails for these guns.  Looks like Warnes will get the nod.  They are on the heavy side.. but have never had a problem with them.

The guy I'm buying my 7600 from has the Leupold QR base for it.  I didn't know they made these for the 7400/7600. All I need now are the rings.

I use these on my Knight MZ and they work great.  Maybe slightly heavier than I want for the 7600, but the price was right... free.   ;D
