painting a stainless barrel

Has anyone painted a stainless barrel and had good success and durability Im looking for infomation on it i would like to camo one of mine.

Buddy did a shotgun with this stuff and it's tuff as hell claims to work on stainless steel! http://www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com

the reason all deloreans were grey is because paint will not stick to stainless.

Most gunsmiths regularly paint SS barrels for customers. There are many paints and/or gun coatings that work well. Some are harder and longer wearing then others.

thanks for the info I will be trying out the duracoat it seems to be some good stuff ill let you know how well it works.

  I have had several stainless and blued rifles powdered paint coated.That stuff is tough and does not chip.
