I am thinking again and that usually means trouble. :-\
Maybe that is because I don't think as good as I once did :-[
Just received my new Harris bipod and want to adapt it to my
Contender pistol also.
Problem begins with the fact that I do not want to add a screw in sling stud.
that yes I could screw in and out but will just wear out the hole after time,
And I will not use a barrel clamp mount.

So here is what I want to do and I have two ideas.
First is a special screw that will hold the forend on and
have the sling mount on the bottom of it so I can add a sling or bipod.
Best idea since I could use it on any forend that used the same length screw, and should be cheap enough to have all lengths.

Second, a recessed, in barrel channel mount that I could add a sling stud
with a machine threaded stud. (hope that made since :-\Really bad day :()

I assume you are talking about replaceing the front forearm screw with a swivel stud.

That is easy as the machine screw type is the same thread as the barrel lug,
only needs to be shortened about 1/4". Also need to add spacers to take up the recess in the forearm.

I tried that approach first, didn't like it. Drilled a new hole about 1" from the front arm hole and recessed the
back side enough to hold the nut and clear the barrel. Would note that I did this on the 2 screw rubber forearm,
should also work on walnut.

On my 1 screw plastic forearm it was easy as the underside is hollow and cleared the barrel easily.

The 2 screw forearm is mounted on a 15" barrel, the one screw is mounted on a 10" barrel.  (picture)

TC Scout.  Your set-up looks nice.  Was trying to figure out what grip you have on your gun...the picture is dark on my monitor (excuse for old eyes).

A little help please!

Silvertp, It is the rubber grip, not pretty but very comfortable to shoot and fits my hand better than the walnut grip.
I also use the rubber forearm on my 14" and 15" barrels.

The barrel in the picture is the one I have for sale, I am replacing it with a 14" barrel.
Can post some pictures of it if you like when I get the scope mounted and on the frame with the bipod.
