also .25 are hard to find(just like 5mm/20cal). the .22 is about the best you can get.

I've been shooting a Crossman Quest in 22 for a year or so.  I like it and prefer the 22 to the 177 for small critter killing.  I have been toying with the idea of getting a 25 for some time, and wanted to pass the idea on to the OP.  I think that as much as I like the 22 over the 177, the 25 may be even more better.  As you point out, the 25 pellets are harder to get and way more money when you do get them.  That has been one hold up.  You can get the 22s about anywhere you can get pellets.  It's just so easy.

  Sooner or later I will give in and get a 25.  When I do, I will have to stock up on the pellets when I find them, cause I won't know where the next place I find them will be.
