There are very few opportunies that I have found.  I've heard rumors of small populations of hogs in the bootheel area (far southwest along the AZ border) and along the Pecos River in SE NM.  I've searched a lot of country over in the SW corner and found only javelina.  I haven't spent any time along the Pecos, as most of the land is private and not accessible.  For the money you'll spend in gas driving around looking for the darn things you could pay a small fee to a landowner in TX and kill pigs 'til you're blue in the face.  That's what I do...

There are hogs on the lower Pecos river and you can take all you want. I don't know anyone that hunts hogs here. I have seen feral hogs on the river north of Roswell several times.
