« on: March 25, 2009, 01:39:00 AM »
Hello and many thanks for all the great info posted on this site.
I've got a new endeavor and need to know what forend screw torque to use on
1. ss 50cal, M/L pro hunter
2. ss 223 ss pro hunter
also are any of u using spacers under the screws on the flex tec forends?

I'm really excited about the potential. I've only been able to shoot the ml but wow!
I just got a trigger/spring kit job done and can't wait to shoot again

I don't think the amount of torque is as important as a consistant torque. I use a standard size driver handle and snug it up with the finger tips.  My old hands don't have but very little grip anymore so I know that I'm not putting much on 'em, but I try to do it the same each time.
