  To the new "nutsy regime' in  DC..Who cannot stand to face truth...word changes..

  N Official newspeak;

  It is no longer "the war on terror"..but rather,,"Overseas Contingency operations"..

  No longer "terrorism"  but rather, .."man made disasters".
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

I've read 1984. We as a nation are becoming very much like what the book depicts. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being what is in the book. My guess is we are at about 6 and could move to 9 very quickly with technology being what it is today.
The most disturbing thing in the world of 1984 (imo) is that if Big Brother does not "vaporize" you he will "fix" you. To be tortured mercilessly, and broken so that BB makes you love him.
What will you say on Judgement Day?

The BANKERS win every war.

What sticks out and frightens me the most from 1984 isn't Big Brother.  It's the fact that not only did the average citizen not care what is going on, they didn't even WANT to know, similar to F451 and Animal Farm.  I think that there will be a small, hard kernal of people that will fight what is coming but the rest of the sheep will await their turn in she chute passivly.
This that I do, I do by my own free will.
