62 gr partition?
« on: March 24, 2009, 03:07:28 PM »
Has anyone tried the 62 gr partition in a 1 in 9 twist AR? If so, Did it stabalize them? I can stabalize 62 gr fmjs in my 1-9 20 inch barrel but I have heard that the partitions can be tricky.

I have a 1:7 16" and it loves the 80gr A-Max.  I wouldn't think that you'd have a problem with a 62gr in a 1:9.  I think my buddy has shot 69grainers in his 1:9, but I'd have to check.  I didn't know the partition could be tricky...is that because of the center of gravity or something?

I am not sure that they are tricky but that is what i have heard from several people.  I was just hoping to hear from some that have shot them before I buy some to load.

The Nosler Partition is a 60Gr Bullet. It will stablize Just Fine in your 1-9" twist. I run them out of a 1-10" and a 1-9" with no trouble.
