Tikka T3 Length-of-Pull?
« on: April 16, 2009, 07:47:39 PM »
Hi everyone,

I am considering buying a Tikka T3 Hunter in .243 Winchester and mounting a Weaver 3-9x38 Classic on it. I already own the scope. I'm curios what the factory length-of-pull is for the T3 Hunter... could someone please post the measurement or measure their personal rifle and then post? I have searched all over the internet and I can't find a measurement.

The length of pull concerns me because I'm pretty short so I need a rifle between about 12.5 and 13.5 inches. My girlfriend's .243 Savage youth (12.5" LOP) fits me comfortably, but so does my Savage MKII with a 13.5" LOP. What I do know, is that I added a longer recoil pad to my Savage .270 and it didn't fit me comfortably anymore... it's LOP is now 14". The issue has been that I can't get proper eye-relief with the longer LOP and I can't move the scope any farther back. But yeah, my main question is, what is the LOP of a Tikka T3? I'm excited to be getting one, I love the way they look and have heard/read great things about them.

Oh yeah, I did hold a Tikka T3 in the store, but it was hard to judge whether or not it would be comfortable because there was no scope mounted on it.

I have the T3 lite and from trigger to end of pad its 13-5/8". If u get at least 3" of eye relief with that scope u should have no problem.

KzoneAL, thank you for the info. I've found that 3"-3.5" is roughly the optimum range of eye-relief for my Weaver.
