stock replacement

I have a handirifle in 30-30 with low rings and a 4x32 scope.Should i replace the straight stock with a monte carlo for best results?

That depends on you. If you want to see how the other stock shoulders go to a gun shop and try one with the other stock. Part of the fun is trying different stuff. Check out the classifieds if you want to get a different stock

If you ever try the thumbhole you'll love it. My ultra varmint thumbhole .243 feels and shoots great!  I'm even getting a thumbhole for my sidekick muzzleloader! To each his own though.

After carrying my 30-30AI last fall with the laminated straight stock, I found I don't like it, would rather have the pistol grip, it just carries better, I seldom use a sling.
