The Simmons 3 - 9x32 mm A / O 22 Mag is very hard to beat.  The Bushnell .22 rimfire scope is also excellent.

SWAMPMAN if you had to choose between the banner 6-24 for 130.00 or the trophy mod. 3-9  that comes with 20-50 spotting scope for  100.00     which one would you choose.

Well i'm not swampman but i have the banner 6-24x40 and this scope is not one of my favorites. 130 would be better spent on a different scope. Your eye has to be just right and the glass clouds at the higher magnifactions. I mean your eye has to be just right. I have the trophy as well and this is a nice scope can't say on the spotter.

I have a Marlin 982 VS and I have a silver Mueller APV setting on it. I also have 2 other Mueller APVs one on a 22 Hornet and the other on my custom 10/22, both black. They all work great, I think I made a good choice. I have several Bushnell Banners in different flavors, and in general I like them all. I specifically have 2 of the Bushnell 6X24X40 scopes. IMHO the Mueller APV beats them hands down. One of the Bushnell 6X24X40 is setting on a shelf, replaced by a Mueller APV. They only way the Mueller could be better was if it had mil dots - for the money spent. But I would only need it for the 22 Hornet, the others do not have the range to need them that badly. Good Luck and Good Shooting

I have a 6x18x50 banner mounted on my 223 and it works great clear, focus is good and it stays zeroed even riding in the pickup.  My experience with any scope above 20 power is if its not top quality it usually has some issues.

I pick the Mueller APV. Great scope at a great price.
