Does anyone know if H&R will entertain the idea of short chambering a 45/70 to be custom chambered later to 458 SOCOM?

Nope, they won't do anything like that yet, even distributors have to buy complete firearms in quantity, we've been asking for a custom shop for years,  add your thoughts to the Wish List in the FAQs, it's just wishful thinking for now.  :'(
