Shotshell Ammo ID & Value Help Request
« on: April 16, 2009, 01:50:56 PM »
Hi All,

I occassionaly work for a local auction company. They do a couple sporting auctions a year and I typically bank my hours to buy some things with the hope of selling them to make a few bucks more than I had earned which allows me to maybe keep a few of the things that I bought as well as fund family play. At the most recent auction I bought a boxed lot with some miscellaneous sporting items in it and in the bottom were serveal older shotgun shell boxes with live ammo & hulls. All of the ammo & hulls are paper except for two 12 gauge shells that are brass. I do not collect shotshell boxes or shotshells so I'm hoping some of you can tell me about what I have acquired, and whether I should just try shooting it or sticking on a shelf to start a collection. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Brett

About the only way to tell what the value of cartridges is by looking on some of the Cartridge collecting websites.I have put a sticky up that lists a few of these websites. Some other places to look are Gunbroker and Auctionarms.
Banned for less than honest trading practices.
