380 Critical Defense Ammo

Has anyone out there actually gotten their hands on this stuff?  Have you done any field tests with it.  I know what Hornady says.....but that's Hornady hawking their new product.  What's the real "skinny"??

Any of you ever made your own CRITICAL DEFENSE loads by tipping your hollow points with resin or silicone???

I shot some out of my 9mm and they worked as advertised. Expansion was due to impact rather than hydraulic pressure. Tested in plywood where normal hollow points fail they still expanded. As far as size of expanded bullets it is not up to gold dot or golden saber diameter, but it is still decent for a non +p round. Average expanded size was around .54 cal if I remember correctly. Accuracy wise they were just so-so in my gun. I know this isn't a .380 but it might help you out some....
