I think it's time. Liberals (or better put, Statists) have said that the First Amendment builds an insurmountable wall of separation between church and state ever since Justice Hugo Black wrote his position in the Everson v Board of Education case. While it has been succinctly proven that the only "wall" the founders envisioned was one that would keep the influence of the government out of the church, not vice versa, it is now a generally accepted premise that "somewhere in the Constitution" it says that there is a de facto separation between Church and State.
Something that has never been questioned, though, is the wall of separation that exists between the public and the private sector. It is the basic premise of our nation that the government is a function of the people, by the people, and for the people. We neither grant nor recognize any title of nobility, and there is no throne in Washington.
When Barack Obama effectively fired Rick Wagoner, he committed a terrible offense. The President of the United States has no power other than that which he is granted by the Constitution. Our Constitution is not a restrictive document, meaning that it doesn't enumerate the powers that the government DOES NOT have. It enumerates the powers that the government DOES have. The Tenth Amendment goes even further by saying that those powers not specifically granted to the federal government are reserved to the states respectively and the people in general. Why is it then, that Barack Obama thinks he can step in to any private company in this nation and run it the way he sees fit? Barack Obama, a man who has never in his life held a job in the private sector, think he can do a better job of running General Motors and AIG than men and women who have spent their entire lives rising through the ranks of the corporate world to a position of leadership? Why do we stand for it? The Thief In Chief has overstepped his bounds. He has even unilaterally decided that the federal government will now honor GM and Chrysler warranties:
"If you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired just like always. Your warranty will be safe. In fact, it will be safer than it's ever been because ... the United States government will stand behind your warranty." --Barack Obama
I say it is time to impeach this man for his subversive and dishonest actions as President of the United States.
