Unfortunately it's probably not 3.25" brass, Norma's 45 Basic is 2.88" long, they used to have it listed as 45 Basic, but when you added it to your shopping cart, they had a notation that it was headstamped 45-120:

Item Notes: This straight-walled brass case is full length and has a .45-120 headstamp. The case can trimmed to a shorter length for use as .45-110, .45-90 or .45-70.

It's no longer noted that way, so it's likely the shorter brass.  :-\

In the 2009 Shooting catalog, Cabelas describes this brass as being 3 1/4" at the same price. Maybe not though just my $.02

Well, someone else is gonna have to be the guinea pig, I've already got more than I need, Richard and Tyler got started with it, someone else will have to step up to the plate and take one for the team!!  ;D

Acording to the Norma website, the Norma .45 Basic is #21123.

This is from the Midway website:

"Boxer primers. Brass measures approximately 2.88" and should work for any cartridge based on the 45-100, 45-70 case. Case is too short for 45-120 cartridges

Package Size 
Manufacturer #: 21123-3 (20)"

Thanks Tim!  Ain't gonna be me!  Already got a hundred pieces of 45-120!  Nope... not me!  'course if I was to take it into my head to get another BC barrel to cut back to 26 - 28" or so and ream out to 45-100 which would be a more practical application for general hunting purposes then the 32 inch 45-120 I would need such brass...  :-\  But the thought of doing that has never crossed my mind.  Nope, not for an instant!!  nevernevernever...  :-[

I just took one for the team.  Should be here before the 6th.  They confimed it would be 3 1/4" long and a 42-120 headstamp!  We'll see.  I'll keep it around till I get another 120, or maybe just use it for the 45-100 if need be.  Have enough "basic" brass for that already though.

HMMMMMMMMMM...........thinking maybe I should order some for when I get me another Buffalo Classic barrel.......Cause after all this raniting and raving on here from the guys with a 45-120........Has made me jealous and I just got to have one.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
