I don't see why a 336 marlin or a 94 win couldn't be modified and rebarreled.  Would cost more than I would want to pay with 2-35 Rems waiting their turn to be shot.  DP

The Maximum will never fit in the too short Marlin 94/Winchester 92 actions.  In the longer Marlin 336/Winchester 94 actions, the Maximum still trails the already available .35 Remington in capability.

The .357/44  (i.e. 44 magnum necked down to take .357" bullets) has been adapted to the Marlin 1894. If you like  a small compact  .35 caliber Lever Action with more umph than the .357 magnum, the .357/44 would be fun.
