.52 cal bullets
« on: April 18, 2009, 03:59:05 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get .52cal bullets for my knight extreme? I ordered some from Knight, the redhot 375gr. I have wrote to Powerbelt bullets, they said they are not considering making them as of now.
Anyone know of a bullet and sabot combination from other than Knight ?  ???
Thanks for your help,

That is the biggest downfall with the .52 caliber, nobody else jumped on the bandwagon with Knight, so they are your only source for packaged bullets. If you call Knight, you might still be able to buy just the sabot, then you can try other brands of bullets in the caliber. IIRC, Knight has sabots for .452 and .475 bullets (maroon and silver/gray)? I see they don't list any sabots except the .50 calibers any longer, I really think they will probably discontinue the .52's after the NEW .50 cal Disc Ultimate Slam comes out. The Ultimate Slam is going to be a true "MAGNUM" rifle, able to shoot more pellets and more loose powder than any other production rifle.

Parker makes the .52 caliber conical for them, but I don't know if it can be purchase from anyone except Knight. I just checked and I don't see these listed on the Knight Site now either, could be a sign? I swear they were on there just a couple weeks ago?  :-\

Here are the 3 saboted bullets that Knight markets.

They are running a very good price on the Stainless/Synthetic .52 cal Disc Extreme right now, but if you are unable to get sabots or bullets for it on down the road you would only be able to shoot conicals that you would have to cast, IF you could get a custom mold made.

yes, thats about what I figured too. The rifle on sale right now is what I bought. The DE726C. Well I guess I'll just have to order a big supply of bullets from Knight, after I find a good load.
I never heard about the .50 disc ultimate slam, and I just got a recent catalog from them.

I guess I probably shouldn't have used the term "Disc", since this rifle will not be using them. The primer will go into a new bolt and breech plug combination that just uses a bare 209 primer. At first, it was rumored that this would be a retrofit for all the Disc rifles, but last word I heard was that it wouldn't.

Here is a report Toby did on the NEW Knight "Extreme Ultimate Slam".
