.22 ruger cylinder l.r.

I need to purchase a .22 long rifle cylinder for a Ruger single six.  Please help me as to where I can Purchase one.

 I bought a used Single-Six a few months ago. It came with only the LR cylinder, shipped that way DOM 1982. I have another SS & tried the mag clylinder, it would not fit. I bought a mag cylinder off Gunbroker & about the same time read on the Ruger site where they want the gun shipped to them to properly 'fit' an extra cylinder. My GB mag cylinder arrived & fit great. I was prepared to do some minor filing if needed. What this taught me is even though they are all Single-Sixes there can be some variances in cylinder fit.

Send the gun back to Ruger. They will fit a .22 long rifle cylinder to your gun. I had this done a few years back. It wasn't that expensive. ( $ 50 - $ 70 I think ) Mine was an Old Model Single Six (3 screw) with a 22 Mag. cylinder. The gun was used ( seller said he couldn't find the 22LR cylinder ) but it looked to be unfired and in 100% condition. So I wanted the 22 long rifle cylinder to match perfect.
Ruger matched the blueing perfect, with proper markings on the cylinder, fitted it, timed it to my gun. Now it looks & shoots great.
Safety was my main concern. Great looking gun was my 2nd concern. They did both for me.

+ 1 for Ruger customer service. I have owned many, many Rugers. The only time I had to send one back for service was for a Vaquero in .45 LC. It was shooting way left, off paper. They turned the barrel, replaced the hammer, replaced spring in ejector rod, and cleaned, sent back...no charge.

My Single Six came used with both cylinders. I would defintiely go to Ruger for a matching/fitting piece. By the way, from the several Single Sixes that I have owned, the LR shoots better. The Mag is great to have. Just my 2c

My one and only SS shoots LR better also.  I am told that can't be so don't tell my pistol.  I like it that way!  Cheaper to shoot a lot.
