New CZ75 SP01

Just picked this pistol up this past weekend. 

I didn't get to fire it yet but just wanted to comment how impressed I am with the craftsmanship.

This firearm is tighter and more nicely finished than the new Springfield Armory 1911 Stainless Mil-spec I ordered this summer which came factory fresh with tool marks here and there.

The condition of this CZ however is as you would expect from a new gun.  Flawless.

Only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, merely an observation, is that it could have came in a itsy bit bigger lock box.  The box is barely big enough for the gun and its extra mag and cleaning tools.  Plus, I about never figured out the secret opening mechanism that's hidden on it  :-\

I cured this problem by using one of my fresh Craftsman conversion units I've been making, which is 2x or 3x bigger.  Plenty of leg room  ;)

Those are cool bythe way.  I bought a 'sheet' of the black/dark gray egg crate foam (3'x6' I believe), use a utility blade knife to 'gut' a craftsman case (remove the inner liner with the tool contour) and line with the foam.  They make great cases for guns that don't come with cases.  I'm sticking a lot of my C&R stuff I've picked up in them.

Hopefully will have a range report soon.

I don't have the SP01.  I have a 75B with the Omega trigger group.  It's been absolutely flawless after about 1000 rounds of various quality.   Enjoy the SP01, it's a beauty.

Congrats Avyctes. Sounds nice. I was thinking a new Glock, but I've had such good luck with the CZ rifles, I might just go for one of their Pistols too.

This is my third Cz, *but*it's my first NEW Cz.

I also have a Cz52 and a Cz82.  I love both of them.  I expect I'll love this SP01 as well.

And Skunk, you're right, it is a beauty.  But I've always admired the Cz75 line, don't know why I never got one before.

Better late than never!

I had my mind made up to get a Glock 17, to fill a desire for a high cap 9mm.  When I saw one of these in a gun store, I had to have one.

A few years ago I bought a new CZ 75B in a 40 S&W. It performs flawlessly. I love it.

My Dad just got a 75B in 40.  He hasn't shot it yet, but the pistol appears as nice as my SP01 visually. 

Has anyone bought a holster for the SP01?  All I've found so far is a plastic holster for it.  Would like something in leather.
