THE COFFEE JUST KICKED IN
« on: April 08, 2009, 01:32:14 AM »
That is not always a good thing, however; I was reviewing the recent march madness. Each school seems to represent the state they are in and, it seems too me, that they are proclaiming that the schools within the states represent the state.
Now, in this coffee induced state of mind that I am in, what if they did.
Am I drawing blank stares from some?
These boys that play the games we play are from all over---not necessarily from that state.
What if, these schools could only recruit from within their state. Then the school would be truely repesented as well as the state.

Well William, it would mean that the Wisconsin Badgers would become the most dominating powerhouse that college sports has ever witnessed. ;) No other college team would be able to compete with those big farm boys who grew up eating all that grade AAA, Wisconsin venison, and fine bricks of Colby cheese. ;D

Skunk, with all due respect I think Illinois would be the national champions.  We would just bribe the referees.   ;D ;D

Holy cow this topic could be fun.

I am guessing Florida would have the best offensive team and Nebraska would have the best defensive team.

If the head coach also had to be from that state.........that could be interesting.

If we make the rules they have to abide  ;)!
NC might not be such a powerhouse.
New York city might produce that powerhouse---but keeping some of those boys in school would be a feat.
Indiana would be a powerhouse.
Now basketall is just one sport---got too include all sports.
Football might just make Texas a powerhouse.
Notre Dame would be sorely lacking.
The Military colleges would be out.
I started too say that Los Angeles might not have enough room for all, but, they got a lot of schools there.
Blessings

Well if you include football then Pa would probably be at the top. I think I have read somewhere that more successful NFL players come out of SW Pa than any other area in the US. The kids around here start playing football on miget teams at 7 and 8 years old. Dale

Seems like that in the old days, when Texas HS footbal and Pennsylvania HS football tied up, that PENN were the loosers most often.
those good players in the NFL may have played in Penn. but where are they from?
Blessings ;)
