Weatherby in 240 caliber
« on: May 05, 2009, 03:38:32 PM »
I wanted to share some pictures of a Weatherby I bought today.  It was made in Germany and is about 98% condition. Thanks for looking.

Wow, did you get a good deal? Someday I'll find a 240 of my own I hope. Have fun

I don't know if it was a good deal or not, but I'm happy with it.  I paid $1295 for the gun, scope , and a full box of ammo. The rifle is a Weatherby Custom and is so marked on the floorplate. It has a checkered bolt handle, jeweled bolt and magazine follower, and a wonderful trigger.  Glad you like it.

That sure is a pretty rifle. A good friend of mine has a 257 weatherby that looks just like yours. I have a Mark V in 240 but it is the ultra lightweight. I really like round and the proformance. Mine likes both the speer 105 gr and the 100 gr partition.
