Tucker: just food for thought--not sure where you are located, but since it's so close to summer keep your eyes open for traditional bow shoots near you. I have found them to be a great place to try bows the vendors will have on display. Most will let you shoot what the have in stock at these shoots--they may ask you to leave your driver's license with them until you bring the bow back, but that's no problem. While you have a bowyer's attention, and his bow in your hand, be sure to ask him questions...lots of questions about his bows and how they will fit you. You don't have to buy the most expensive bow on the market to get a wonderful, servicable bow, so be up front with them about what you can spend--you may get a surprise and a bit of a gift! Here in MI we are blessed with several shoots that are within easy drives, or overnighters, of lots of trad guys, so there are also many used bows being sold at these gatherings.
Best of luck, Arch
