The trigger on my colt is pretty rough. If I lightly stone and polish all mating surfaces will that help or do I have to replace springs also.

Wow, not even one response.
I took apart the trigger/hammer group and all the mating surfaces are pretty rough. I'm going to polish them lightly and see what that does first.

I have never done a Colt, but I have done trigger jobs on lots of stuff and gotten in the 2 pound range with factory springs lots of times. Let us know what you find. Be careful not to change the shape of sear surfaces, just remove the rough spots.

I'd recommend one of those Power Custom stoning jigs. It's all too easy to round off the corners or change the angles on SAA parts without it. Be careful.
