HS-5 and HS-7 Load data needed.
« on: May 16, 2011, 07:23:36 PM »
I have some old powder that is in good shape and would like to utilize it.  It is the two listed above and I can not find any load data to these obsolete powders.  I have 22 jet, 38 special,357 mag, 357 max, 44 mag. that I think may fall in this powder range. Thanks IN advance.
Thanks Don.

Don

Lee's 2nd Ed. lists quite a bit of data for the 44 mag using HS-7 and Steves pages have data for the 357 mag with the same powder , I have not been able to find anything for the HS-5 even going back to my old Lyman 45th. Ed. from 1970 .

Thanks a lot stimpy. If possible maybe you could pm some of those loads if not comfortable with putting on everyones view. I have 200 and 225 grain 44's, and 158 in the 357.
Thanks Don.

Thanks a lot guys for the loads. I have a good idea where to start with HS-7 now. Does any one else have much for HS-5?
Thanks Don.

Just too add HS-5 has a burn rate about same as Accurate Solo 1250 IMR-PB and Universal clays.
