Mexico to Seek Expanded U.S. Access for Trucks into USA
« on: April 14, 2009, 01:56:16 PM »
Just when you though we might have victory for US truck drivers, the Obanation steps in to ensure more US job losses and POS & unsafe Mexican trucks have access to highways!!!

Mexican officials are seeking a cross-border truck program that goes beyond the pilot program that the Bush administration launched in 2007, reports Bloomberg news service.
According to deputy transportation minister Huberto Trevino, Mexico sees an opportunity to get expanded access for Mexican carriers in the U.S. because the Obama administration has shown a willingness to work on the issue.
Congress eliminated funding for the pilot program when it passed the budget for fiscal 2009 recently, prompting Mexico to retaliate with tariffs on U.S. exports that affect $2.4 billion in trade.

Just another example of the effort to erase our borders.
