I realize gun prices both new and used are creeping up and fast but that's at least $200 more than I'd ever consider paying for one. I did have one quite a few years back and had a 6" 657 at the same time. The Mtn. Gun was the more accurate of the two even with the shorter barrel. In the end I decided I didn't care for the .41 magnum as a hunting gun and got rid of both. Even buying them new I paid far less for them and while I dunno what they are going for new these days I'm a long way from ready to pay much over $450 for a use S&W and there are darn few I'd pay that for. I have and likely will again but there ain't many I would and none of them are .41's.

Yes, it's a excellent price in todays market place. If you decide against this, please PM me a phone number where I can talk to it's owner?

I think I paid a lot more than that for my stainless 657 mt gun. I decided I was going to have one and got tired of missing on auctions so probably paid way too much but I got what I wanted and haven't been disappointed. Its accurate, comfortable to carry and stainless. I put Crimson Trace grips on it and carry it a lot in the summer.

It is probably a bit high, but it will probably sell for that in today's market. I really like the .41. With a good .41, I wouldn't need a .357 or .44 mag.

Ouch! That's a tad on the high side, BUT, like Autorim said, it will sell even at that price. You're not getting something as common as a .357 or .44. This is a stainless .41 Mountain Gun. How bad do you want it? It may not be that high after all!  ;D
