scope for a cz 550 in .375 H&H

I'm going to be buying a scope for my .375 H&H in A cZ 550. I was leaning toward a VX-III in 1.5-5x 20 and then I saw a Bushnell 3200 1.5-4.5X32 for around $170 cheaper. I know the Leupold is a better scope but this is a gun I don't plan on shooting that much. My real question is will the 3200 even work. The specs show the mountable portion of the scope at 6.3 inches. The space between rings is about 5.7 inches. If the scope has 3.5 inches of eye relief and the rear bell is even 2 inches, it appears that I wouldn't be able to get my eye close enough to be confortable. Has anyone tried this setup?

I dug around and mounted an old weaver 1X-4.5 power that I bought used for $55.00. Works great

I've got a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm on my .375H&H and it works well.  Particularly like the long eye relief and quick and easy sight picture acquisition.  They are $300, a very good value in my opinion.

IIRC Zachary, the optics forum moderator, has the same scope on a M70 .375H&H. You could PM him and ask you questions.

I would put nothing but a Leupold on a .375 H&H. A VX 11 or even a VX 1 would be better in my oppenion. In fact I would consider a fixed 2 1/2 X scope. The last deer I killed was at 289 , larzed, yrds. and I had pleanty good aim point with a 2 1/2X Leupold.
