What is your favorit crow gun? So far my favorit is the .410. Tried to shoot them with the 22lr but can't hit them they are to far but the get close enough to you when they fly though so the .410 works good but im going to try my 20 gauge and the .243

If i didn't list one of your choice just choose other and tell us what is your favorit gun.

I just bought a new 17 HRM in a Savage rifle with the accu-trigger. I find that its one of most accurate guns I have in my arsenal and it would a deadly crow gun.

My all-around favourite for crows has got to be the 30-06. I just love the way they explode     Crows come and sit in the pasture fields near my house and sometimes on the fenceposts. I can just sit on my deck, read a hunting magazine, and blast crows with the cannon every once in a while.

Com'on, doesn't anyone use their good ol' BB/Pellet guns :?: ! I've shot many a crow with 'em, maybe not from 100yds, but hey, I think it's a lot more sportsmanly-like to sneak up and get 'em at 15yds. The ammo is a whole lot cheaper too!

In Wis. they must be hunted with a shotgun only.  Before the feds screwed up the crow situation years back my favorite rifle was a 22 K Hornet.  Now I use my Browning Sweet 16(not on the poll) or a 20ga.  Both work well.

both the 17 hmr and the 17 M2 work quite well.
410 shells are too expensive to use on something I am not going to eat.
So I use a 20 ga with #6 or #7 1/2...

Hello from Georgia,
I have enjoyed hunting crows for many years and have  finaly found my perfect crow load. I use a 3 1/2" magnum wih #6 shot through a modified choke. Cows are not hard to hit or bring down but with these big loads I can regularly get a double with only one shot.

I have also had good hunts shooting them in fresh cut corn fields using my deer rifles. This can really help build confidence with a gun. Good Luck

16 gauge,
In Idaho, we can only shoot them with shotguns and this is the only shotgun I own that I really enjoy shooting.  It is a model 12 that my wife inherited from her grandfather - don't tell me marriage is only for fools.

A Thompson-Center TCR with a heavy barrel in .17 Hornet with a 4-12 Leupold scope. It will shoot 15 grain Berger HP's at 3950 fps. Since the bullets are so light and slow down so quickly I feel safe shooting up into trees, at least if the angle is high enough. It shoots 5/8th inch groups at 100 yards.

;D When I visit friends in Pa. we often call, and then my favorite crow gun is an 870 Special field in 12 ga. with an IC choke and 7 1/2's. While I enjoy calling, for years I have loved to hunt crows with a rifle. Shot 'em with everything from the .22lr up. I would say my very favorite gun for crows is an old .222 custom built for me with 50 grain bullets. When I am visiting I keep a .22 Hornet in the corner for crows that land in the fields near the house. I also like my .22-250's for shots longer than 200 yards. But crows are far tougher to hit at those ranges than chucks. One of my very finest crow killers was a .22 Cheetah :o ::)

+1 on the 3 1/2 inch. I have used steel bb to #6 and many in between. They drop like a stone.
