Nope.

I was in Downey's Gun and Pawn in Columbia a few years ago and a fella from Campbellsville came in with pics of the Bull that he'd gotten!
Amazing.  He said that it's pretty awesome to be 70-80 yards from an animal that big and have it coming at you.  His dad had gone with him on the hunt.  They had a great time.  Hope I'm able hunt them some time...............

They have Elk in Kentucky? displaying my ignorance. Dont feel too bad,we have tons of elk here in Arizona, and it's hard to get a tag here too.

A herd was started 10 years ago give or take a few years.  It's to be located in about 7 counties in southeastern KY.  Rumors are that it's spread outside those boundaries.  Heard seems healthy and due to abundant graze good growth.

Never been to Martin co but I'd like to travel some through that area of the state.
Especially with an elk tag and a rifle!!

Are the elk becoming a nuisance?
Have you guys seen a negative effect on the deer herd?

they arent really a nuissance. i love to see them i can set and watch for as long as they are there. but the deer herd is slightly scattered more than it used to be but other than that there is no negative effect i can see.
