I'm not Veral and I'm not answering for him. I'm telling you what he told me a few years ago as best as I can recall. But please, wait for him as I'm not too sure it I recall it all correctly. First, he had me fill the case with a steel rod flush with the mouth of the case. Then he had me lightly oil the bore and he really emphasized lightly. I chambered the case and started the slug at the muzzle. He told me to use a medium weight hammer (2 lbs), a mild steel rod that closely fit the bore and drive the slug with one or two heavy blows. When the slug reached the case, I was to give it one good whack. Then I was to see if the case ejected easily or hung up slightly. If it hung slightly all was good. If it came out easily, I was to whack it one more time. This upset the slug to fill the chamber and the leade as well as the rifling. When the case was ejected (I had to work the lever and give the slug a slight tap at the same time) I wound up with a perfect model of my chamber, throat and rifling. I sent this to Veral and had him cut me a mould.
