Boys, I hate to think what would have been had our founding fathers taken the same stance as some on here have.

I'm really not trying to blame any of you as that is your decision.

I just feel that there comes a time in everyones life where they have to take a stand.
I have already started by giving up smokeing, if I can.
Not because it is bad for my health but because I refuse to pay blood money to THE LIAR IN THE WHITE HOUSE!
Next it will be where your kids can go to school, what kind of car you can buy or a host of other things that they (the government) has no business in.

Maybe we should all just quit our jobs, quit paying taxes, give up and let someone else live our lives.
I don't like the sound of that at all!

When the time comes we will all have to decide for ourselves which way we will lean and I am sure that some will cave in while they let others fight their battles.
Who knows what I will do at that time.
I hope I will do the right thing but that is up to me and me alone to decide.

Do you think when the door is open they will stop crossing the river? what are you going to do when they tax your ammo beyon buying? Your land can now be taken and given to private enterprise. The old man we read about today gave up his gun when he was shot because someone came on his land, because they can with backing of the law.
Its all falling in place and has been. I hope most on here are as mean as they sound you might make it two weeks before they round them up. Either way the news people will be happy.

Your posts has some true points but there is such a thing as "the straw that broke the Camel's back" for some folks, but for some, well you can do whatever to them & to a degree there is a regional component, but you can't fit all into one mold.

If you are talking about Longtom, read his entire posts instead of cherrypicking part of what he said, he stated that everyone had to decide for himself & also he was not sure yet what he would do.

As for myself, I will take it a day at a time & I know several in various areas who will do the same & weigh their options.

Just because some are ready to wimp out now doesn't mean everyone in the country will, so just speak for yourself, it
makes more sense.

Have you forgotton all other aspects, like driving us much deeper in dept in only 8 weeks, telling the rest of the World that we are wrong, bowing to a King, wanting to take (and will take) from the achiever & give to the non-achiever & on & on. Guys it isn't really that different then when this nation was nothing but a part of ENGLAND.
They were treated the same as we are being treated now.
When they had their fill they stood up and did something about it.
Maybe the only real difference was that all the people stood as one.
If there is a down fall it will be because we were not united in what we say we believe in.
They will most likely get my guns when the time comes.
To me it won't matter because I probably won't be here.
At least I will know and those around me will know that I was a man of my word.

To those who would give up their SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHT.
When & if the time would come that they (the government) decide to come and take your land or home without compensation, will you give it up willingly?
If they decide to take what little bit of savings you have left and leave you nothing, will you give that up also willingly without a fight.

We have all said give the antis an inch and they will take it all.
What is the difference between them and what the government might do?
To me they are the same!

Like most of you I worked for what I have.
What I have was and is paid for by me.
I did not ask for a hand out nor did I expect one.
If I needed something I worked a little harder and longer until I could afford to go buy it and pay for it.
Now what makes any of you think a person would willingly give any of that up with no compensation without a fight.

If your rights mean so little to you then go ahead and  let the government walk all over you.

I will use your logic and say yes they have broken the camels back. What was once a god given right is now a privelige.  To give when they see fit and take when they want. We all go through it every day. We must have back ground checks, cant buy certain type of guns, Use laws that enable a mad ex to stop a purchase or ownership with a lie, some cities will not let residents own a weapon, confiscation of firearms when it pleases them like hurricane katrina and on and on.
Where was the indignation when these laws were passed? Where were the crowds that want give up their guns? Where were we all when they were heaping straw on the camels back?
answer! The same place we are now, typing and bitching. Where will we be when the order is given to take them? IMHO typing and bitching.

Sorry I used the term "straw that broke the Camels back" I believe that most others would understand what I meant though. There comes the time for MEN with a spine where they have just had enough. It may or may not be at
the time of gun confiscation, we will see. Those who can be made to do anything can not and will not understand that.
As far as how quick it would be over, Guerrilla warfar has not been real predictable in the past & since I am not a Prophet, I don't claim to know the outcome of things or who would participate, but I have meant very stubborn, determined folks, I hope we never find out.
