very good penetration. accuracy was ok for me say inside 50yds but not so good at 100. longer bullet affected by 1 in16" barrel spin, i think. every rifle has preferences though. worth a try
every day is a gift. use it well

Kind of a late response, but I have used the Fed. 50s.

Both my 783 and 65M prefer them.
1 inch to 11/4 inch 3 shot groups at 80yds.
-------Consistant----

I have shot 1 inch 3 shot groups at 100yds.
 on occassion.
Both rifles have 4x scopes.

I've shot them out of my smith model48 some. I never put them on papper but just plinking the shot good and seamed to hit hard. Regards

I shot everything I could find when I got my savage bolt action and Federal 50 gn HP shoot better than anything else. I have only shot paper out to 50 yds. but the bullet holes touch if I'm shooting well that day.

They are the most accurate load in my Ruger Single Six convertable.  They are the only thing it will shoot honest 1" groups with.  I wish it shot that good with the regular long rifle cylinder.

My SS is the opposite.  It shoots half the group size with LRs than with Mags.  Go figure.

your ruger with the two cylinders was made to shoot 22wmr ammo more accurately than the 22 long rifle. the same is true with the colt new frontier revolvers also.
